I think you mean homebrew, right?
currently, you can only run homebrew on 2.60 and lower.
there is homebrew in development for 2.71 and 2.80

Do not upgrade to any newer firmware, and i think it will be possible in a few months

All current games for the PSP should work with 2.81

Or are you looking for games that Require 2.81 ?
