The average walking speed for an adult traveling at a normal pace is roughly 5 km/h. This would thus translate into one-fifth of an hour, or 12 minutes.

Hope that helps.

Depending on pace, between 10 to 15 minutes. Remember, a kilometer is less than a mile. I walk every day (cardio), and it takes me under 15 minutes to walk 1 mile, 10 minutes if I really pour it on.

It takes 60% as long as it does to walk a mile. If you walk 3 miles/hour, it takes you 20 minutes to walk a mile, and 12 minutes to walk a kilometer.

In the Army we walked about 60 clicks in a day.
That was what was called a forced march.
