They gave me a new number when I moved, and they changed my plan without telling me. I went from 25 cents to connect, 10 cents per minute (no free anything) to a dollar a day plus 25 cents to connect and 10 cents per minute, but I get free nights and weekends. Whoop Dee Doo. I only got it for emergency use. Now it will cost me 30 bucks a month just to carry the darn thing around.
What problems have you had? I may use this information to start a class action suit against Verizon because they can't just change your contract.

I was told it takes 3 to 4 weeks to hear back from corporate. Does anyone know a phone number I can call them directly and speak with someone?

I had horrible problems getting service out where I was living. Then they started charging me for long distance without even notifying me. I was able to get some of the charges credited for the long distance. Then I was told by their customer service that I could not switch my phone number to another carrier , went over to cingular a few months later when my contract was up and sure enough, was able to switch services and keep my same number.
Have Cingular now and love it

I have had both Verizon and Cingular, and their Customer Care have both treated me like crap. That is something I would expect Verizon to do....

discern out in case you take advantage of ashurian (sp?) or lockline for the insurance (ask a VZW rep, they're going to allow you to recognize) and deal quickly with the insurance organization. it's going to take an afternoon or 3 that you would possibly want to get your telephone, and it would want to be an equivalent style fairly of your correct style, yet they receives you something.
