I was sick in the beginning of my pregnancy w/ a bad cold. I got over it and haven't been sick since. Until now. I'm getting that scratchy feeling in my throat that I usually get right before I'm gonna get a cold. I could drink orange juice but that hasn't been my best friend during the pregnancy so I would just throw it up annyway. I'll be 36wks in 2 days (even though u/s is giving a due date of oct 1st..which is in like 2 wks).. so my question is ... will being sick affect my labor in anyway?

I think I may be in the same boat as you are. I am due the day before you are (which makes you closer to 38 weeks) and my daughter seems to have started a cold today. I am hoping I dont catch her cold as labor with a runny nose could make an uncomfortable day even worse. I doubt it will cause any complications, but just make things more miserable. So unless you get a fever or something you will be seeing your dr. every week now so just keep him posted in case you need an antibiotic or something.

not at all u will be fine
u dont give birth at 36 weeks
the full term pregnacy is 40 weeks
but they tell u the baby can come 2 weeks b4 or 2 wks after
so if they are saying about October its completely normal and
u cold wont afftect u in any ways
congratulations and good luck

I wouldn't think so...if anything you'll just be a little more uncomfortable, as if labor won't be bad enough on it's own but let your doctor know either way. Good luck!

shouldn't be a problem unless you had an infection, but a cold won't hurt you so far into your pregnancy.
