I own a 2002 Olds alero. When I push on my hazard lights, they flash a few times then quit working. Then if I try to use my turn signals, they may also stop working for awhile. The guy at the garage changed all the bulbs and looked at the fuses. Does anyone know what else the problem may be?

otherwise you might have some other problem in your electrical system.....

OK I has the same problem and all I had was fuzz stuck down where the hazard button made the metal connection. I was told to just push it up and down a few times and put a dab of WD40 to lubricate it. Well it worked for me you could try that before you start spending money on other parts.

Most likely it is the flasher unit. Go to an auto parts store and ask them to look up the proper part and then ask for a heavy duty one. Your owners manual will usually tell you where to find the flasher in your car. It is usually found on the fuse block. Replace the old flasher with the heavy duty new one and you should not have any more trouble.

it is possibly a fuse. Do you have the owner's instruction manual? if so, look interior the index to make certain the place the fuse field is. you are able to tell if one is burnt out, because of the fact the steel strip interior is broken or melted. The fuse field often has a pair of extras in it, or you will desire to purchase new ones at an automobile furnish save.

check your flasher unit.
It will be silver, metal, round.
Turn on your signal, and listen for the click click of the signal.
That will lead you to the unit, under your dash, by your steering column.
Replace it.
