Blood type cannot cause miscarriages. You will need to see a doctor to find out why you might be miscarrying. There are several reasons for miscarriages; some of them are genetic, and thus you have no control over this, but some of them are due to environmental factors: any substance that result in toxicity in a pregnant woman may be implicated in miscarriage including, radiation, some insecticides, lead, toxic chemicals, smoking and alcohol. Make sure you avoid these things.

You should seriously consult with a doctor to find out if there is something wrong with you, or your DNA and your partners is causing trouble. The doctors will do all they can to make sure that you can have healthy babies.

First things first, I am so sorry for your loss earlier on this year.

I also want to reassure you that spotting isn't always the start of a miscarriage, and lots of women who spot in early pregnancy go on to have a very healthy successful pregnancy. So you carry on doing the right thing by being on bed-rest.

Miscarriages can be caused by so many things, hence why it is so hard to diagnose the cause. But if I remember correctly then it's manly rhesus factors that commonly cause problems with 2nd pregnancies.

This link explains it a little better than I can... http://www2.abc.net.au/science/k2/stn/november1999/posts/topic6526.shtm

Wishing you lots of happy healthy thoughts for this pregnancy. Good luck hon.

No. That should be ok. Are you Rh negative and your husband is Rh positive? If so, you need a shot called Ro-gam. I'm sure your doctor would nave picked up on that, though. Try again. Some people have what they call an "incompetent cervix", but there are options.

No. But you have the universal donor type of blood. Your blood can be used by everyone else. I hope you're a donor. O negative is used for trauma victims when there is no time to type and for newborn babies. You can donate and help save lives every 56 days..when you 're not pregnant.

No it would only be a problem if one of you was negative and the other was positive, then usually after the first child is born the mother has to get a shot to prevent RF factor in future children

Blood type has no bearing on miscarriages. The Rh factor is the underlying cause to most miscarriages.

Blood types do not trigger miscarriages!! Miscarriages can be caused by:
1) abnormal positioning of uterus
2) Recurrent Infections of uterine tubes in the past, if any
3) Inadequate amount of progesterone produced by your ovaries
4) Too stressful body

Congratulations and I everything works out.. : -)
