I don't think any artistic form of expression such as music teaches values. I think it is a reflection of that person and our societies values. For example, tv doesn't change our society it is more of a reflection of our society. In the 50's women were seen as the stay at home mom while the men worked. That was a reflection of that time and our American society, so tv protrayed just that.

Today, music is an expression of each individual artist and how they express themselves. Viloence is real, muder is real, but so are heartaches and love. Those are all examples of things that musicians sing about and express. Music is not about morals, it is about expression.

Music is an art, entertainment, or other human activity that involves organized and audible sounds and silence.
The incorporation of music training from preschool to post secondary education is common in North America and Europe, because involvement in music is thought to teach basic skills such as concentration, counting, listening, and cooperation while also promoting understanding of language, improving the ability to recall information, and creating an environment more conductive to learning in other areas.

No - how can music teach immoral values? Do you believe because of Mozart and Beethoven people get raped?

The lyrics and the culture that go with music sometimes go against moral values, but then music is all about rebellion against the values of yesterday. If music was conformist it would be dull and soulless.

Nope.
Music is poetry in all forms (even rap)... not saying that all music is actually good poetry worthy of listening too, but it all has a meaning.
Each person can choose their right to listen to it or not, so if anyone thinks that it gives the wrong impression and teaches immoral values, then they shouldn't listen to it anyway.
