Mary Kay . Com actually has this cool thing on their website called 'virtual make-over' It will match the right colors for your skin, eye, and hair colors. Even shows you how to apply that certian area correctly!
I usually use this, print it out, and go and find the colors to match it at local stores (just so I can use the brands I like best!)
Hope this helps! :)

I had the same problem figuring out how to wear black eyeliner without it smudging all over or looking uneven. Basically, prictice will be your best resource on application. However, what helped me was beginning with a black pencil eyeliner and then using a very dark grey eyeshadow over top to correct imperfections and help the liner to last longer. Liquid eyeliner is for pro users only. Experiment with liquid at home before ever expecting to nail the perfect application.
Good luck!

Try NYC perfect and reflect. The little kit has a shimmery eyeshadow base (very subtle), a white sparkly eyeshadow (very pretty for inside corners of eyes), undereye concelarer, and blemish concealer (both work very well).
If you're going for subtle, you might want to leave off the black eyeliner for now. That is NOT a subtle look.

if you want it to be light, don't use black... choose a gray, green, or blueish color that contrasts with your eyes... but ifyou want black that's fine. apply it to the bottom lid about three-quarters of the way from the outter corner going towards your nose. You also may just skip the eyeliner and use a nice mascara on upper and bottom lashes... that's what I do.

Thin line on the top lids, never on the bottom. 9if your going more natural, I'm more bold when it comes to eyeliner). Bron would give a softer and more natural definition though. Black is still fine, just don't do a thick, smoky line.

I would start with a light purpule or offwhite neutral eyeshadow and a dab of Mascara, it can change your eyes dramatically. I personally recomend "lash stylist" of maybelline NY.
I wouldn't start with black eyeliner, it doesn't look vey natural.

blk eye liner is not subtle, you start with brown or charcoal grey depending on you complexion, also try mineral powders for facial coverage and even out skin tone, a neutral eye shadow and dark brown mascara or blk. depending on hair color, a neutral lip color with lip gloss is subtle and a lil blush, do not apply with a heavy hand, you may want to try a nd consult an avon rep, she can give advice on which colors to use and their brochures are labeled with cool colors warm colrs and neutral , or see a rep at the cosmetic counter at the mall, although the mall rep may try to get you to purchase some pricey items, and i think avon is very affordable for anyones budget

put it on where your bottom eyelashes are. if you put it on your bottom lid, than theres more of a chance that you will get an eye disease. i read that in a fashion magazine so dont worry im not like making it up. and maybe some light brown eyeshadow. thats light enough to make a difference.
