No, prose is prose; and poetry is poetry. (Unless you want to debate prose poetry, but I won't touch that one.)

Both explore ideas (themes), both use figuarative language, both use words (obviously).

Prose is just writing, so poetry can be prose.

A prose is like a story and poerty is poems so the writing needs to have rhythym and/or rhyme
