You could go on forever with that question. For example, when you find the answer to who created God, then the next question is who created the deity that created God, etc, etc,... It never ends.
The supernatural being, with no proof of his (her) existence is a natural contradiction. The only thing we've observed is an ever expanding Universe with indications of some horrendous kablooie 16 billion years ago, or so. But then, what created or what came before the Horrendous Kablooie?
So the eternal and unanswerable question appears on both sides of the creationism vs. evolutionary equations.

If you want the christian answer, then God is a necessary being, meaning that he must exist and his existence wasn't caused by anything or anyone. Christians would say he has always existed, because as it says it genesis, he created the universe from nothing so there was nothing before in existence to create him.
The atheist answer is that early human beings created God to give them reassurance that God would protect them and God was also created as an explanation for why we are here.

god nor anything/one else could have never created the universe; the universe was never created. it has always just been. it has no start or end in either space nor time. no, god is not the creator but rather the creation and the created. god is both the living beings and the life that animates them. there is no creator, only the creation. and everything in the creation is god, holy, divine, numinous.

God is omni potentate. He is everywhere and at all times. He is Alpha and Omega. God is a sir name, which once was called
YHWH, 'adonai or "Lord.” Elohiem or mighty ones, family.
You see the Word God is a family, the Father, the son (Jesus, Yeshua) and the Holy Spirit.
This family of Gods has always existed. No one could create them if they have always been. They are not of matter as you and I are but of Holy Spirit. Something, which the human mind cannot comprehend.

Why do you ask? How does god answer? Hebrews 3:4 "of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God."
As it happens to be, my house has indoor plumbing, lighting, radio, recliner, tapestry of a boat on the wall, and yet my house just came into existence and had no blueprints workers or architects.
Of course not! does it not just make more sense that sombody built my house.

If you believe in the law of cause and effect, then you would believe that at some point their had to be something before anything else-- a first cause, this is called God by some. He's sometimes called the first cause, the Unmoved mover. Hope this was helpful.

Why do you think he created the universe? He needs to find out who he is and how he came to be. Don't dwell on this question any longer. If God doesn't know, you certainly won't figure it out.
