You are refering to Hermaphrodite, which means at birth she had both male and female "parts", like an ovary formed into a testicle .. this is actually a common phenemonon. The do surgey when you are still an infant and remove the "wrong" parts. Jamie Lee Curtis has always been a women.

She is what science would refer to as a "hermaphrodite". Very rare genetic case and not usually uncommon, but this means that a child is born with both sex organs, and usually the doctor advices the child's parents against operation procedures in their early childhood stages, because there usually isn't any way to tell at infancy if the child will grow to have masculine or feminine characteristics or behaviors. I sure hope this small piece of info might help satisfy your curiosity. I know - I was in shock myself when I first heard about this.

hard call- i heard that, and thought it was stupid, till i saw a biographyof her dad,and she sure was boyish-looking as a child.it went waaaay beyond tomboy.then again, like 2 years ago,the photos she took in her underwear, published in redbook ,to show the world what a real, aging womans body looks like,so people wont assume theyve failed cos they dont look like a hollywood ideal---well,she had cellulite and "love handles" in all the right places.if u had a sex change operation, would they be able to make cellulite?cellulite is such a "girl thing",but maybe if ur on hormones for years?her body is good ,but her face isnt that feminine.were her kids adopted???if she gave birth, she has to be a girl !!! this is a mystery !!!!!

Whether or not it is true... I was told she was born a hermaphrodite which was decided to be mostly female. This is why she can't have children, because hermaphrodites are sterile. Like I said... I don't think it's true, more urban legend than probably anything else.
