Okay here is my situation:
I have been trying to get pregnant for two months (I know that is nothing compared to how long it takes some people to get pregnant), the first month we didn’t really try that hard. (That was in July) Last month (August) we did it like rabbits, I have had all the symptoms of being pregnant. I’m 2 day’s late on my period, I took a first response test last night and it was negative.
My boobs are very sore they started getting sore last night. It may because I’m going to start my period. I typically always have cramps 3 days before my period, but so far nothing.
My question is how many of you took a test after you missed your period and it came back negative? Thanks so much for answering my questions!!!! :)
And yes I do have a boyfriend we have been together for almost 6 years :) and this is something we both want :)

Periods are strange creatures...it is always a guessing game as to when you will get one. Irregular periods happen every so often too.
My suggestion is to wait till you are at least 2 weeks late before you take a test. By then your hormones will have changed and you will get a correct reading. I think women spend way too much money on testing too early. Also, take the test first thing in the morning, when your urine is the strongest.

It might be too earlyafter your missed period for the test to respsond (even some of the best ones take aver 3 or 4 days). Also, even if that isn't the caes, there is a such thing as a false negative. Go see a doctor and he'll be able to give you a straight answer :)

I took the test 20 days after my missed period and it was negative. Waited a couple days took a different brand of test and it was positive.

My cycle is exactly 28 days...last month we tried getting pregnant...and my period never showed up...so I took a pregnancy test and it was negative...my period showed up 3 days late. I'm trying for #2...best thingis to chart your cycle and find out exactly when you are ovulating you can use a free online service www.mymonthlycycles.com its great...good luck!!

One thing you said that your breasts were really sore. I could tell I was pregnant by the way my breasts were really sore so sore I could hardly stand it. Also there is a line on your belly that goes from your navel to your pubic area my line got darker thats how I knew for sure I was pregnant the second time. Anyway goodluck .

You should call your doctor and go get a test done there. Thats the best way to tell. Good Luck with your pregnancy :)

wait til your period is due take 2!! tests see what it says and then if still nothing go to our doctor for a blood test..happened to me i took 6 tests 3 said positve...2 said negitive and i dropped one in the tiolet...lol

Wait about another week and if you have'nt gotten your period try taking another test. Don't give up you'll get what you want.
