I played both GTA 3 on the PS2 and liberty citiy stories and I must say Liberty city stories is great. There are not too many diffrences the biggest is the fact that you can now use a motorcycle which is great. You also have no plane to fly in this version (you could use the dodo in the previous version) The city is the same with the same jumps and all. I would highly recommend this game the story line is awesome and stays within the same format as the first one. If you like the GTA series this is definettly worth the money.
Just to add on I did play this game on both the PS2 and the PSP I personally recommend the PS2 version there is absolutely no diffrence (except resloution) I just prefer to play on my TV.

Liberty City Stories on PSP is identical to the exact same game on the PS2. The PS2 version was actually "dumbed down" to rival that of the PSP (no proper cut scenes etc.)
