sometimes it's like people always see us as inferior, like we're dogs. Not all of us are like that. I know i'm not all the way black, but it's something I always wondered. Express whatever you wish. I want to here about it all. Why?

It's because a lot of women are jealous of black women. Your mental strength rocks, you're beautiful, you're exotic, you have way less insecurities than any race of women, and you're smart. That's why I married a black woman instead of a white women.

Colour doesn't matter. I don't know why white people say things about blacks; I'm not white neither black. I'm actually a Muslim and according to the preachings of Islam and Mohammad (SAW) all human are sons and daughters of Adam and Eve, no one is superior or inferior to the other. The standard by which a person is called superior in Islam is how much they have Taqwa\Fear of Allah (In Islam, fear of Allah doesn't mean that we should think he's going to chuck us in fire any moment. It means that if we are going to do any sin or crime we should keep in mind that he is alway watching us and we are not hidden from him).
However, I don't thik so all people see you as inferior. And if someone does sees you as inferior, you shouldn't care that what are you in their eyes, alway care that what are you in the eyes of God.
Also, black people should not be rude or proud to others. Perhaps other people like whites have a concept that blacks are arrogant or hard or something?
Peace.

If they see you as inferior sweetheart, it's because that's all they've been taught. Ignorance is a disease. However, it can be cured if one wants it to be. That said, I have seen several people mention jealousy. This is also a very driving factor. Maybe they're jealous (hating) because you're easier on the eyes than they are, more educated, etc. The only other thing I can think of is maybe they had one bad experience or were disrespected by a black woman and now they transfer that onto everyone.

Whatever the reason, know that not all of us feel this way. I don't transfer feelings to one race/ethnicity. They all have their faults. =)

This is coz of the racism that is decreasing much too slowly. Not many decades ago most of the whites thought they were a superior race, and they liked to think this because they could use it as a justification for slavery, colonialism and segregation which all were for their advantage. At the same time most men thought they were superior to women and they also liked to think this way because they also used it to justify their privileges. It will take some more time until this thinking will be completely forgotten.

I'm not living where that happens. Actually, I find it a compliment when I've been numerously compared to acting like a black woman! I have asked, "What's that suppose to mean!?" And I'm always told things like, "You don't take any crap off anyone and/or you do not need anyone else to defend you."
So Honey, they are the inferior ones that say mean things about blacks.
Be proud of who you are and your heritage!

I think we are beautiful and strong and we deserve to be treated equal. We have to work 10 times harder to get respect than other ethnicity's. I also believe that sometimes we forget that we also need to EARN respect just like everyone else. I have seen many black women treat white women or Latino women with such disrespect for no reason at all and this embarrasses me. We need to remind ourselves that discrimination is not an excuse to discriminate against others. I believe that we have a unique opportunity to prove to people that we deserve respect. We have to try harder than a white person to get this respect but that is better than proving whites right with our racist behavior towards them.

People who say mean things about black women do so for one of 2 reason, 1 ignorance or 2, the black woman said something mean about them. And why are you lumping most people and all black women together? Are you perhaps practicing that fine art of discrimination?

People are just ignorant and they hate people who do not look like them. I am mixed but I consider myself black and I love being black because I just love it.

If people or racists towards me, I do not let it bother me. They just hate me because they are not me. I am not a racists I love all people, I do not understand racism and I do not think that I will ever understand it. It is so stupid to hate someone because of the color of they skin... The only people that I have an issue with would be someone who does something to me. regardless of what color they are....

People are quick to judge black people and say that they are stupid etc. But they are the ones that is being stuipid and ignorant because it does not make since to just start hating someone because they are black. What kind of bull is that? They say were the dumb ones, they need to take a look at themselves before calling black people stupid....

I don't hear negative things about black women..... maybe it's the people you know, or where you live?
(In all honesty I have heard negative things about the black race, but I know those people are ignorant bigots)
I hear many positive things about black women, and I myself admire the way black women have way more self confidence and a better body image than most white women.
If you hear bad things, try and ignore it, don't take it personally, the people who say these things are not necessarily successful at putting YOU down, but rather they feel a need to bring THEMSELVES up.
Be proud of who you are and just be a good person no matter who else acts a fool. Ignorance can come in any color.

I don't feel that way! I have a black friend and she's very pretty, so is her sister, and her mother. I've met many, many black gals that are friendlier, socible, prettier and just great all the way around. The ones that say it are just ignorant human beings, maybe they're jealous of you. Your giving this to much though--those idiots aren't worth it girl friend.

I see a lot of self-hate among black women. I mean that with respect- you did say "express whatever..." so being honest... I think many black women have a major self-esteem problem- I think Oprah is a big exception to that. Even your "I'm not all the way black" sounds like a defensive statement.
