Bandwagon: [I think that's what it's called] and sex. SEX being #1 for some reason in America. Not literally sex, but anything sexy. Women are usually used for this form of advertising which appeals to practically anyone. The common housewife, the male leading role and even teenagers. Televised advertisements are usually the most successful. So televise something sexy. Paris Hilton washed a car for that t.v. commercial promoting carl's jrs burgers. That was hott although I am htrsxl it still is eye catching and the boys around me were drooling. heh.
