Okay, so short of asking him to shave more often, theres no way to prevent whisker burn. Whats the best way to treat it then? I've been handling it like a sun burn but i dont know if thats the best idea. I wont put any petrolium product on my skin, so vaseline is a no go. Any other suggestions?

tell him to put conditioner on his face when he puts it on his hair in the shower... it'll be much softer... also have him use a new razor every time he shaves... this keeps the ends of the hair even where it's cut off instead of jaggedy and prickly
