'hate' is a strong word, but to me it seems that the problem lies in the dynamic of marriage itself, and its unsuitablilty to some couples (by no means all). Just think... take the significant other/ hypothetical significant other in your life. Then suppose that marriage often implies that two people share and co-operate money matters, live in closer confines than with any platonic friend and must compromise and reach decisions as to how to go about best tending to new, little lives dependent upon them alone.
Then ask yourself: does this sound like a list that would be better headed 'all the ways to take the person that I love and make me resent them?' If so- that's why women apparently 'hate' the men to whom they are married.
If however, in your perspective, the list could be headed 'challenges that the pair of us would relish,' then in my book, you've got it made.

I'm not sure "hate" should be the word used for the feeling a lot of women feel toward the male species.
Women settle by marrying men they don't love or aren't emotionally committed to.
Some women feel as if they need to be married for traditional purposes, and may settle for who comes around the quickest. Some women just don't want to be alone.
Some women are greedy and selfish and despite whatever ill-feelings they may have toward their husband, or even men in general, they would go as far as to marry a man she doesn't love for monitary gain.
I could go on and on I suppose, but the answer is that every woman is different and do things for different reasons that may be unique to each of them.

what women?from what survey are u basing ur information?my husband is the dearest person in the world to me,i respect and love him with all my heart and i'm proud to be married to a man of such kindness, strength, moral fibre and integrity.i'd walk thru fire for him,i'd die for him-and he'd do the same for me.if the relationships u know are not like that, look within.also, look at the women around u-is there a pattern?if so,break it-date outside ur comfort zone-u dont know who u might meet.also, are u in ur teens or 20's?the game-playing by both genders at that age,is confusing and notorious.time brings out the best in people,so its on ur side.dating people at bars,etc-dont be surprised at what u get there! shallow people are glaringly obvious-dont date them!!!!!go for quality-good luck !!!when u find an attractive, fun person whom u feel could be ur best friend, date her-she wont "hate"u,guarenteed.

Personally, I always LOVED men. I understood them, and could relate to them...most of my friends were men. Then I married one.....and not a nice one. Have to admit...I went through a serious man-bashing phase.

Luckily, I was blessed with men friends who were patient and tolerant when I was going through the divorce (and afterwards), and who put up with my crap until I got over it.

Can't live with them - can't live without them..apart from that they are useful for reaching high shelves and taking the rubbish out. Not all women hate men..I don't..I think they are a necessary evil.

It's a statement thing to these ones! They are about walking around with a leash either on themselves or on their man. Watch'em...even ask them! They won't admit it but why else do something except for the sake of talk!...and women talk.

It's usually a case of low self-esteem that is directed at her husband.

Ironically, this hatred manifests itself after marriage or pro-creating.

That said, the opposite is true also.
