I have never had a threesome myself, but would reconsider it if I were you. It's only on very rare occasions that threesomes don't end up in heartbreak. Usually, one person is left out in the cold when it's all said and done.
But, if you must go through with it, make sure it's with someone both you and your boyfriend trust. Set down some ground rules, such as an understanding that he's your boyfriend, not hers and that this is a one-time thing (maybe it could be more than that, but see how it goes first) and not a promise of a new relationship or anything like that. Make sure that none of you three have any venereal diseases. Be sure to use protection. Be aware of any consequences and be willing to accept them. When it's all said and done, it's your life and your body, so take care of them and have fun.

By smart comments, you mean you want stupid comments. LOL. Just playing. Look from what I know, or heard, threesomes never work out the way one pictures them. They are not as glamurous as the porn movies make them seem. I am thinking they can be very fun though. There needs to be alot of trust and a fun attitude between the people involved. Maybe have some drinks before to loosen up, that way the expericence can be more enjoyable. Is it two girls and a guy???

I have never had a threesome with 2 girls and a guy so I don't know much about them. As long as there is a huge amount of trust in the relationship though, you guys can probably make it work. Me and my husband had a threesome with another guy before we were married and came through it just fine. It's all about trust. I would recommend though, not making this a regular thing because feelings might develop where they shouldn't, but that is your call. To each his own. Good luck.

what you should do is get a video of threesomes. They actually have educational videos that give you tips. I have this website at home that explains a lot about sex in different situations and how to spice things up. I'll edit and add the link when I get home.
Depending on if you have 2 girls and 1 guy or 2 guys and a girl is what you can do. usually with the 2 girls one would be with the guy and either him or the other girl having sex with him would orally please the other girl. There are other ways too, just an example.
If it's 2 guys the girl orally pleases one guy while having sex with the other one.

I have a couple of questions for you first.... do you love him? Would it bother you to see him with another women? From experience I wouldn't do it. Nothing good comes out of it. Alot of things are compromised like trust, for one. Always know that there is good possibility that you two may not survive in your relationship afterwards.

honestly I would not do that with my MAN... you are not going to be able to stomach him having sex with another woman.... I have thought about that with my man, but I can't watch him have sex with another chick. You have to be able to look past alot of things. especially if he puts it on her.... what if she/he falls for each other... you have just opened a door that you are not going to want to close... Be smart and really understand what you are gettin into... it's fun but you sacrifice alot..
