Actually, my son wrote the words, recorded them and all the music to about 16 songs on a CD. It is great. I would like to surprise him and find a way to get it on radio so he could sell it.

Try checking with a local radio station. Maybe even phone in a local talk show and ask if they would play it.

You need to get the Indie Bible. All the contacts you'll ever need are in that book. I know it looks cheesy at first, but seriously, it's got everything you need to get started as an independant until someone signs you. There are probably numbers for you to call in your local radio station right in the book. Here's the we address:

I've been using it and it's got me a long way. I'm going to record a professional cd in a couple of weeks!

Hey Paul S-- What is up with you union workers??? Or at least you're just like them. They always seem to think seniority has something to do with being ahead. It doesn't work that way with music buddy. If your music sucks it ain't going to sell. If I had been playing for 34 years and just got on a local college station, I'd quit trying to make it big and play for the sake of playing. So don't be so bitter and rain on everybody's parade. Go back to bed you old grump...

If the whole point is to get the music heard and not for money, putting the songs on a website for free (myspace if you must...) would be a great idea. And college stations too, they play not-so-well-known songs.

Get an FM Transmitter and make your own radio station. That way, you can play whatever you want on your station.
