I did, or sort of still do, like them, like the music, liked the girls and pretty much bought whatever they put out...................THEN they had to open up their mouths about something other than singing.
I do not, nor will not support any "artist", "athlete" or any others like that to voice their politics. I do not care what their politics are, I just will not pay them money if they force their opinion on me.
I have not watched or paid for anything by Sarandon, Robbins, Baldwin, Striesand and on and on and on, years. I will not help make them rich and then have them crap on me with their politics.
Certainly they have the first amendment and can say what they want, but I will not give them another cent. I want them to entertain, and then shut up. If they are going to use the fans, money and adoration, to garner a national public spotlight, then they need to be more responsible, shut up about politics, or religion or anything like that.
You notice that NONE of them ran around talking about their political beliefs before the fans made them rich and famous. You know why too. They would have never made it.
So like I said, I do like the Chicks, I know Natalies father and brothers, I like everything about them, but they will not get another dime from me.
BTW, they put on the best live concerts, high energy and really loud and really good. Geez I would really like to go to another one, but you know what, that little high plains chippy would run off at the mouth spewing her politics to the crowd, then I would have to get up and leave.
Please entertainers, just shut up and entertain, enjoy your wealth and fame but keep your opinions to yourself, my giving you money does not mean I want to hear your point of view.

Don't like their music but I like that she spoke up and doesn't care what people think or what the consequences would be. That was a very difficult thing to do at a sensitive time when freedom of speech was practically illegal if you didn't agree with the President. He should have just asked us to call him "Castro" at that time. HOw ironic-to be supposedly fighting for DEMOCRACY when we are prohibiting it in our own country-hippocrites unite!

Not any more, since they bashed Bush. No wonder their USA ticket sales plummeted for their tour, and headed to Canada.
