Okay, this is just like the yahoo inspector parker game. Draw five houses in a row--make sure they're tall enough for five levels each to accomodate the five different categories, color, nationality, pet, drink, and car. If you go through the list, you'll find all of the labels to go in each.

Color - Red, Green, Ivory, Yellow, and Blue
Nations - England, Spain, Ukraine, Norway, and Japan
Pets - Dog, Snails, Fox, Horse, Zebra
Drinks - Coffee, Tea, Milk, Orange Juice, Water
Cars - Cadillac, Thunderbird, Lincoln, Rambler, Oldsmobile

You know right from the start that the middle house has milk (9) and the far left house has the Norwegian man (11), and then that the next house over is blue (15), so write those in and cross them off the list. Then go through and write the first initials of all of the remaining items in the levels you labeled for their categories.

Then... play inspector parker with it. Keep reading through the puzzle rules and cross off or circle items as you realize they belong or don't belong to certain houses. Have fun!

Ooh I love this kind of logic puzzle! I will do it for fun and report back, even if someone else gets the answers.

Okay, after a delay to cook dinner and clean up, and many distractions from my kids, I figured it out. Here goes:

The first house is yellow. The Norwegian lives there , drinks water, and drives a Thunderbird. His pet is a fox.

The second house is blue. The Ukranian lives there, drinks tea, drives a Lincoln and owns a horse.

The third house is red. The Englishman lives there, drinks milk, drives a Cadillac and keeps snails.

The fourth house is ivory. The Spaniard lives there, drinks orange juice, drives a Rambler and has a dog.

The fifth house is green. The Japanese guy lives there, drinks coffee, drives an Oldsmobile and has a zebra.

Best answer or not, that was fun to do. And, hey, I'm a genious! Yay! LOL

well I just did it and I came up with the answer of The Norwegian Drinks water and the Japanese Has the Zebra!
Took me half and hour and 4 try's but I got it.

The way I did it was I drew up a block diagram and filled in the KNOWNS like the Norwegian's position, the blue house and the Green house next to Ivory, coffee in Green house and English lived in Red..so with that info I delt with the colours and the KNOWNS..from then on it was a trial and error..
After the second try i knew the horse was in Blue and the Thunderbird was in 1st house so it was another 2 try's from there to figure out where the car's, pets and drinks were..i did that by going over the list forwards and backwards until it all made the right story!

Very nice thanks to you for that!
I enjoyed it..
Got anymore?

There's my answer. I didn't feel like typing it up. To get the bigger picture just hover your mouse over it and wait for the square thing in the bottom right corner to pop up and click on it.
