You won't make it with that song. Your words are difficult to understand, and as Paula Abdul puts it, you are "pitchy." I highly recommend that you do NOT sing without accompaniment. Download a karaoke track from iTunes and sing with that. It is very difficult to stay in tune when singing alone. The talent show director won't want to risk it. I can't comment on stage presence, because I haven't seen you. This will also be a big factor. Are you confident and interesting to watch? You should certainly try out. Even if you don't make it, it will be a good learning experience. You will get better each time. Good luck!

You should try to find out what songs the other people who are trying out are singing it's look at the try out list to see if the names of the songs are also posted. And if not if you know the people just ask them what they are singing that way you can pick something totally different.Like if everyone is singing a slow song go for an upbeat song that way you have a better chance at being picked they aren't going to pick the same type of acts. Also You should pick a song you know is in your voice range stick to what you know don't pick something you aren't familiar with. Good luck I hope you win

Make sure it's something in your vocal range. Decide if you want do something "fun" or something "serious". Lindsay Lohan, Cheetah Girls type would be fun stuff. Decide "modern" or "classic/standard". What kind of stuff do you like to sing along with when the radio is on?
Make it something you like and put your heart in it. A lot of people can sing, but they can't "feel" the song and it comes out "wooden". Hope I have helped a bit, good luck, SL

Okay, I believe you should pick a song they know and you trill well with...(I have some experience with this)
Keep in mind that you need to make eye contact and use skills to hook 'em. (Don't look over their heads like some do)
It's not a title but I hope it helps.

I am not into "todays" music, but I am sure that you can certainly find some good material where you purchase sheet music. Just pick something that you know well and are comfortable with.

i would say that the best song you can sing is the one song that you feel the most, that is the one you will sing the best....also a song that the audience will recognize and within your voice range....if you feel it you can sing better have fun and enjoy
