hi all

- my last period date 5th july
- brown spotting (lasted two days) 8th august
- urine test 14th august - negative
- hcg blood test 18th august - negative
- urine blood test (home and doc's office) 12th september - POSITIVE

so that the chronology of events :)

now, my problem is....a day after twas confirmed that i m pregnant, today i am getting some faint brown discharge.

my first appointment with an ob/gyn is on friday (day after tom) but i m kinda worried.
why do i get that brown discharge? what is it? is it safe? also getting one sided cramps, on-off.


worried...pls help...first timer here

It's probably nothing to worry about. When you're pregnant there are all sorts of things going on with your body. The concern should come in if you see actual blood. However, if you're only a few weeks along, there is nothing the doctors can do if something is really wrong. BUT I'm sure you're fine. You just may have a more difficult first trimester than some.

The brownish discharge may or may not be an indication of a miscarriage especially since you are experiencing cramps, if you start bleeding then it's a definite yes...seek medical attention.......However , I know that cramps in early pregnancy is normal as well see what the OBGYN says.

brown discharge could be old blood left over. I wouldn't worry, just let your dr know when you go friday. If it gets red, heavy or cramping then call the dr asap or go to the hospital. Good luck.

You may have a cyst and it is discharging fluid. If really worried call your doctor and try to get in now. Call and ask them anyway.
