No, you duck! You are deranged! How "clear" does it have to be said? The pedophiles who "ARE" pedophiles, and it is a "fact" that they are such, should "not" be allowed to live
or be in prison! They do "not" get healed or better with time.
In fact, most of them get worse! Deranged "is" a good de
scription for pedophiles.....And why in the hell are "you" defending them and the government? Hmmm....You have the right to feel the way you do about this, and I have the right to "my" feelings on it. However, it is people like you that keep these sick people fed, clothed, and medically just fine, so they are "okay" when they get out! !@#$%^ YOU!

So, you think that all pedophiles should be imprisoned, whether they break the law or not, whether they hurt anyone or not, and without any legal representation or legal rights?

Let's start with definitions. A pedophile is anyone who finds children sexually attractive. I'll give you "deranged" if you want to use that term to describe them. But just because a pedophile may want to have sex with children doesn't mean they do. And people who don't actually break the law can't be punished just for thinking about something that is illegal.

But let's get past that. There's this pesky little thing in the US called the Constitution, which guarantees certain procedural requirements if the government wants to act against a person. Any person. Or if the government wants to accuse someone of a crime. Anyone "accused" gets these protections. That's the way the system is designed. So, that means defense attorneys, and that means requiring the government to follow the rules.

Now, if you think we should just be able to kill anyone you don't like, whether they have broken the law or not, and without any regard for what the laws say can be done -- then this is probably not the country you want to be living in.

By "defend" do you mean, represent them as a lawyer? Or "defend" as in, always placate and downplay what they do?

A defendant's got the right to a court-appointed attorney if the court finds they can't afford one themselves. If the court appointed you, you could plead that you wouldn't be able to do a good job representing them because your feelings of personal revulsion against the person are too strong for you to objectively do a sufficient job representing them. But it's up to the court if it buys that or not. So a lawyer can get stuck with one that way.

The other way you could get "stuck" with it is of your own doing.
I heard of an attorney who was so short on business and so just barely scraping by that the attorney agreed to represent a known pedophile. The attorney's credibility took a big hit for it. But that's I think the only other way, that somebody chooses that.

Myself, back when I was a lawyer in practice, I would have waited tables for 6 months at a dingy diner as a 2nd job rather than represent a pedophile UNLESS I was ABSOLUTELY convinced they were innocent. But the $$$$ somebody could offer still couldn't ever "convince" me, know what I mean?

Scumbags have the constitutional right to a fair trial and the right not to have unconstitutionally-obtained or inadmissible evidence used against them. But that's about it in my book. A fair trial doesn't mean a star defense attorney either. Some peophiles were I'm sure victims themselves, but that can't excuse what they did. That's what they're entitled to - that's it.

I asked my mother the same question. I never did understand how she or anyone else could do such a thing. I was told that I should forgive him (her perverted twisted husband). He had at least four victims spanning twenty years and used to work as a janitor in public schools, so who knows how many more there were?

I am a survivor of incest and child sexual abuse. I spoke publicly about my survival for 15 years, and have been writing a blog for the last 6 years with over 9,000 hits. The incest was on my fathers side of the family and I know I am not the only survivor. There are at least 2 others that I know of. My own father and his sister. My father went on to continue the "family tradition" of incest and my aunt went into the convent. She left after 20 years and went on to have wonderful relations with all her siblings and her parents. I have tried for over 25 years to address the subject of incest in the family and have found that no one will actually speak with me.
If anyone engages in any kind of conversation with me they are actually speaking "At" me.

I feel that many people "defend" pedophiles by inaction about the issues of incest and child sexual abuse because it is the easiest thing to do. They do not realize the implications of the ripples that continue to occur long after the abuse. Please join in the conversation at addresschildsexualabuse@blogspot.com

Even though it seems that people who abuse animals spend more time in jail for that crime than people who are pedophiles, they still have the right to be defended and innocent UNTIL proven guilty.

The answer is quite simple- READ your constitution!!!!!!
Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty! How can you prove someone guilty without a legal trial? This is a NO BRAINER- GENIUS!!!!!

people who defend them obviously have never been effected by them, believe me if they themselves had been sexually abused at the age of eight they wouldn't be so quick to! perhaps people on here just play devils advocate? but when you are messing with peoples feelings.......and experiences that have ruined there lives they should think twice before opening there narrow minded mouths
