id say that is a big generalisation....not all women get offended easily.
some get offended as they are insecure or just delicate individuals.
others get offended as their morals and ethics are very important to them and often when one dents that it effects them.

Ok, to begin with, not all females take offence easily, especially if they are confident in themselves. But, then again, females are, even today, taught by society to think emotionally. In other words, we are taught from the cradle to be highly emotional creatures, and therefore easily hurt, when hurt, we tend to take offence. Try a bit of empathy, guys, it goes a long way!

offended is a derivative of offensive and since women are offensive by nature it stands to reason they would also be easily offended

They prefer believing the world is a fantasy. When reality hits them in the face, they become offended because their fantasy is nothing like reality.

Maybe because we're more sensitive than men. We take matters to heart, which leaves us vulnerable.
