people often isolate themselves--fbecause of insecurities, lack of confidence, shyness, awakwardness with people--and become lonely. Many don't have the ability or inclincation to entertain themselves, and enjoy their own company and become lonely.
Lonely people need to become aware of problems that cause them to be lonely, work through them....and keep on developing themselves and learn to be happy just being alone if that is there situation.

Loneliness can be caused by many things. You can be lonely while still being surrounded by a crowd of people. Think about your first day in a new school: you are surrounded by loads of other students but you don't know anyone and you feel lonely. On the other hand, some people are alone all the time and still don't feel lonely. Loneliness is a state of mind and spirit and can be overcome by trying your best to connect to others and yourself. Since all best answers give 10 points anyway I thought I would look to see if anyone was silly enough to use 10 points as barging device for questions.
