This just spins off another question I just asked. But in an extreme case, if an employer said that she wanted all her staff to wear skirts or dresses (even any guys in her employment), would she be able to do this, so long as she proved it applied to all her staff and wasn't just being applied to one gender or another? Could a guy argue that this is discrimination or would the employer be able to use it to kind of disqualify/deter guys from applying?

sexual harass

i think it would be discrimination. i think sexual harassment would be more like if she told all men they had to wear just their boxers. but if she disqualifies guys from getting the job because they refuse to wear a skirt, thats not legal unless she has some valid reason for them wearing a skirt (and i can't think of any unless she is running a drag queen show)

Good question.

I think it would be discrimination if she said that girls had to wear skirts and guys didn't. So I guess the opposite would be true too. Not sure what happens if she said all guys and girls had to wear skirts. Would everyone be complaining if she said pants? I suspect not!

I don't know.

I belive that, its company policy should have uniform requirments when you started the job. There should be a period of adjustment, if there is to be a major change, so that it gives your employee's time to deal with it and aqiure the new uniform, or to find another job, and to allow the empolyer time to hire new people. Because not all are going to agree with the new change. So i would say it was discimination, if employee's were not allowed enough time to adjust.

Some guys would probably be only to pleased to wear a skirt - so long as it matched their make-up!

Unless it goes against religious belief, I think she can. If she is trying to force a fellow out and it is a good job I would buy a kilt.

A man couldn't be forced to wear women's clothing. It'd be a cruel and unusual work requirement, begging for a lawsuit.

It would be corporate suicide to mandate such a thing.

I sure wouldn't want to work for her, she is just doing that to get around hiring men, so I would think its discrimination.
