Maybe not mentally, but it does have candida as a byproduct. Candida tends to stick to your arteries which causes restricted blood flow. This can eventually lead to heart attack or stroke.

Oceanlady580's got it pretty well covered. The way medications interact can be a very complex pharmocological process and noramally the packaging includes known interactions (which means other medicines that do not work the same if you take the new one). It's always best to tell the doctor about any other medicines a person is on so that s/he knows what possible problems there can be.
I have not heard of antibiotics themselves causing serious mental health problems but some people can be allergic (or have bad side effects) to a medicine, making them feel unwell, and that could be enough to trigger a depressive episode if the person is already at a pretty low ebb, so to speak.
If you are asking because of a specific case that worries you, please get the person to a doctor.
Regards,
Lenky.

If you are taking Lithium the answer is yes. Lithium (Eskalith, Lithonae, Lithobid is the most commonly used short-term andprophylactic treatment for biolar disorder. Can be used as an adjunctive mediaiton in therapy-resistant chronic schizophrenia for agitation in both aggessive children and demented adults. In the treatment of refractory insomnia, anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa.
Being that you only mentioned antibiotics I will not go into the very long list of drugs interactions with Lithium.
Antibiotics such as Tetracycline & Spectinomycn. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammaory agents, Ibuprofen, Indometchacin, Naproxen and Phenylbutazone
Hope this is of help to you. As this is just one examaple.
To always stay on the safe side, check with your doctor before you taken an Asprin to know if there will be an interaction.
Your question in my opinion is somewhat vague as you don't say if you are on medications for some kind of mental illness.

If you are taking antibiotics, that means you have a infection of some sort which could very well throw off your mental statis. Example -elderly with urine infection or pneumonia sometimes act goofy. Some people are allergic to the antibiotics they are taking causing their skin to itch so they repeatedly rub their arms. So my answer is yes.

As of date, there has been no solid proof to point to that condition. Antibiotics per se does not affect mental health.

They make me kind of lightheaded and dizzy. That might affect a person's thinking abilities.
