I was quite young when both these bands were out, and I regard the 70's as the best decade for music. Loads of happy childhood memories for me!

I'd have to give the edge to Slade even though the Sweet was more popular in the USA.

I'll give Sweet the edge because they were so tight and hyper.

Slade was pretty good as an early-seventies, second-tier sludge band.

Wow- curious to know how old you are to even Know both bands.

I prefer Sweet. More consistently catchy, IMO.

Slade were raw rockers; Sweet were..... well, too sweet.
