What happens is they exhaust all avenues of collection then get judgements filed against you which can ruin your credit reports for years to come. If you ever need a loan to buy a car or house......or want a credit card, your credit rating will show irresponsibility and you will either be denied or pay a much higher interest rate than someone with clean credit.
It is always better to deal with this kind of thing sooner rather than later.

They will keep on chasing you every single minuit. If you don't want to be sick of the nagging phone calls everyday as you said, you better PAY THEM as quick as you can. But for what reason you didn't settled your debt?

Just start sending them $5.00 per month, that is something, they won't like it, but there will be a record that you are not on the run. If you are forced to declare bankrupcy, the court will take your effort into consideration.

All that happens is the interest keeps growing and you end up owing more and more! Ignore a loan for a thousand for a while and end up owing three.- Ignore it for a bit longer and end up owing five. It will never stop.
Only solution - deal with it now!!!!

The will just keep selling the debt to other companies/collection agencies and continually place it on your credit report ... over and over again ... until finally you die and they will take it out of your estate.
