The ones that are doing all the complaining are the one lossing the higher profits, and the politicans that are in their pocket. It is far more against the basic American principal to over charge the sick, and elderly, but then corperations only care about maximising profit, and corrupting the political process to protect their interests.

Many medications we have here are imported from Canada. There is nothing wrong with that.
Most pharma companies exist in several countries at once. I think the objection is that US Pharma and FDA requirements might not be met.
