Light travels at a finite speed but becuase it is both a wave and a line in easy physics terms, the light would still travel away from you at the speed of light so the light would from the outside look as if it was travling at twice the speed of light but is in fact only traveling away from you at the normal speed of light.

I hope that makes sense it is very hard to explian in laymans terms!

Meaningless question.
If a spaceship could travel at light speed, it would become infinitely massive and instantly drag all the matter in the universe into itself.
All space would collapse and Time would come to an end.

No. They can't. They would glow slightly from the energy in the filaments. But, unless you turned on the FTL headlights, the other switch on your dash, you would see no beams of light.

the headlights would shine a beam but you would be travelling to fast to see it

Oh, I'm sure a space ship would have navigation lights, but I very seriously doubt it would have headlights.

According to Einstein's theories, first, theoretically, at the speed of light (SOL), your mass would become infinite. Second, it would require infinite energy to move you at the SOL. Third, as you approached the SOL, time would slow down for you and would stop completely when you actually reached the SOL. Finally, because time has stopped for you at precisely the SOL, a beam of light would still appear - to YOU - to be traveling at 186,000 MPH faster relative to yourself due time dilation.

Yes, because Einstein proved that you can travel at the same speed as light.

Wonderful thought. At the speed of light, you will not NEED anything to see, hear, smell, speak, you will be a goner, so, you were saying something about a SUV shining his beams on ya, and whether you will be able to see or not, I tell you, of course, you will see the light, but not from the SUV, or motorbike, but of Him, who Controls. :)

"do they shine a beam" for who ? For space ship passenger or for an outside observer ?
