i have spedometer trouble.is this because maybe the rear tire thats on is too big or small.

Everyone's giving different answers.
My spec sheet shows GSX-R600 '97-00 Rear Tire 180/55 -17
I got that # from 2 different sources.
Unless you have a different size rim (17") the tire size won't have an effect on your speedometer.
Either the speed sensor or the gauge is bad.

I belive it is an 150-70-17 and it was a 140 on a katana and in 2001 gsxr put an 160 it was the biggest tire at that time for a 600

Should be a 180, my husband,specialises in GSXRs at his shop and said shouldn't affect speedo but the front one could!

your speedometer problem will not be caused by the wrong size wheel because the speed sensor is on the tranny so your looking at a possible speed sensor or speedo gauge problem
