Back in the 40's and 50's they built homes with bomb shelters. If you look to buy homes from that era the odds are you might get a bomb shelter with it. My friend bough a home from the late 40's and she had a bomb shelter in the back yard and it was quite big.

Back in the 1960's plenty of houses were built with bomb shelters. Today it would not be practical, because the next big war is likely to be nuclear, and it is over for everyone. The earth will become uninhabitable.

well, they did build homes with bomb shelters in the 50's. i don't know if they'd even help now. if someone tries to bomb us, it will be a nuke, and there won't be much left. even if we do come out of a bomb shelter after, and there is fallout and stuff for years.

sadly it might come to that. people had to build their own bomb shelters in their backyards in the 40's n' 50's......then sometime in the 60's they were told that it was no longer needed so alot were filled in.

no.

If a bomb shelter ever saves your life, the world will be so destroyed that you would die of starvation, cold, or lack of soap operas a short time after anyway.
