On your keyboard just to the right of the F12 key, there is a key that says PrtScr (Print Screen). When you have the screen up and open that you want to take a screen shot of, press the PrtScr button on your keyboard. Open up MS Paint, and paste it in there. Save the image as a .jpg file and email it. If you save it as a .bmp (bitmap) file, it will b a few MegaBytes and will take a while to send.

Hold the Crtl button down and hit the print screen button - this sends a screen shot to the clipboard. Just paste it into another program like word or paint.

One way you can do it is to use the Print Screen Button (sometimes:prtscr) on your keyboard, or one of the best screen capture tools I've ever seen is CaptureWiz - http://pixelmetrics.com/

Hold down the ALT key and click PRINT SCREEN (up on the top right of the keyboard).
Then, open Paint or Word or something, and click PASTE. (Either CONTROL - V or click EDIT, then PASTE.)

hold down the alt button and hit the "Print Screen" button.
Seriously.
Then, in Word or wherever you want to paste the screen shot, hit ctrl+v.

you have a full choice of free or $ screencapturers on the web, each one with a full set of options ( capture to file, to program, to Email, choice of formats, choice of windows, shape, and so on... )
you may try screenhunter ( free version, or pro version )
or gadwin free screen hunter, for example
both are working fine
