This is a question out of a book on the marketing industies. This chapter happens to be on the subject of prices we as consumers have to pay and on the industries that put these prices on their products or services.

May do some good, I have dropped cable and went with DSS, Cheaper, Better sound and picture with more channels, 8 years and still happy!!

Cable industry is now deregulated. It is categorized commerical industry. Take a min. to write the publisher. But if the book is more than 12 years old a new copyright had to be applied and you can rewrite the book.

I'd be willing to wager that consumer costs would treble in less than a two year period if the cable industry were deregulated!!!
