Are you ready for the Draft? To defend your country????

They are talking it up again tonight on CNN...claiming it is not fair to keep redeploying the same soldiers who have families. Are you ready if it happens? If not, what can you do about it?

I don't think they will use a draft. Politicians know that if Americans are conscripted to fight and die, public opposition to the war will be too much to overcome. That's what finally ended the Vietnam war. They won't make that mistake again.

Personally, I would not fight in a war no matter what. I'd go to jail, flee the country, or whatever it takes to avoid the draft. I didn't ask for this war, and I won't help fight it.

It won't happen before the next election. A draft would not be popular, so won't be imposed with the present leadership. Unfortunately, as long as we continue to invade other countries, it will be a necessity. I've got a 17 year old, so I'm really upset about this.

i think all men should seriously think about going because they would be defending our country and even though we have soldiers going constantly they should do it for their families. i mean the war we are fighting is somewhat controversial because alot of us think we should of never started it but the truth is we didn't start it, our president did so now we have to defend our country

Very against reinstating the draft. I don't believe in violence and I don't believe that it's a solution because it obviously ISN'T WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
