really good Question and from the answers I see apparently people have forgotten that two of the 9-11 terrorist crossed the Canadian border in to Maine and took a flight from Portland, ME to Logan airport and then crashed in to the twin towers

The Canadians are not coming into the US over the border in the thousands every day illegally and taking jobs from unemployed American citizens.

However, that being said, there are Arabs, Eastern Europeans and Chinese coming in over the Canadian border into the US every day illegally.

But their numbers are a fraction of what comes in across the Mexican border. When the Mexican border is closed off, believe me the attention will shift to the Canadian border right away just because of the percieved threat of possible Islamist crossing the border from Canada into the US.

The blunt honest truth is that the Canadians aren't inundating us with their presence like the Mexicans are. We aren't giving free medical care to thousands of Canadians with hundreds of thousands of kids. If that were the case, we would want those borders secured too. Financial strain on the country, not racism.
Canada may want to secure their borders against Americans, though, if things get much worse here.

Because Canadians have made a pretty nice country and don't cross the American border in the millions in search of bad jobs.

Go Canada!

Vader? you have a pair of issues mixed up. In hind sight you are able to ask the question of why we would desire to continuously have had a fence on the Canadian border with the aid of get admission to of the 9/11 terrorists. we would desire to continuously have had extra effective intelligence to ward off the attack on the united statesCole. we would desire to continuously have shot the boats wearing Cubans to the backside because of the fact they carried countless cuban criminals who have been released by Castro. and because many human beings sense a fence alongside the Mexican border is the 1st step in controlling unlawful immigration, we or they're racists. Get your suggestions in kit earlier your hands hit the keys!

Canadiens don't want to come into America. If things get any worse here in America Canada may decide to close its borders to us. There is no Immigration problem with the Canada border. I doubt we have anything to fear from the Canadiens. Great things came out of Canada. Like beer and Hockey.

The mexican border gets much more publicity because of the volume and drain on social services from people who cross there. However, the same is true of Canada. You can smuggle a nuclear weapon into New York from Canada just as easily as you can into Houston from Mexico.

The drugs coming across the Mexico / U.S. border are one issue, another is the extreme poverty in Mexico that seems to drive Mexicans, at the risk of life and limb, into the "American dream land." Their government is very corrupt as well.

Honestly: America isn't being invaded by Canadians. We don't have 12 to 20 Million Canadians here trying to undercut our wages and steal jobs.
