Let me save you several years of effort. Men, in general, could care less about what type of lingerie you wear. Get something you think is pretty and feel confident in. The extra treat is not what you're wearing...its what you intend on doing. If your man really has a preference when it comes to lingerie, thumb through a Victoria's Secret Catalog with him and ask what he likes (or better yet take him to the store).

I would wear see-through lacy lingerie with crotch less panties. Maybe like a corset top. Red is a pretty hot color. I would also wear red four or five inch stripper heels.
