I vote yes. But there is a very fine line between trying too hard to be differant and being yourself. I have found myself giving up things I really love just to be "differant". For example, I used to love love love AFI but as soon as their new album came out and they became "popular" that was the end of that.
So yes, be your own person but don't give up anything to please others or to be "differant".

I blame the media. each and every crime hostile to a baby is hyped and over-hyped for days at a time, oftentimes giving the impact that those crimes are conventional, and occurring everywhere, each and every minute of the day. i guess it leads to viewership and merchandising revenues. human beings look to brush aside info, and hear distorted information insurance. the truthfully type of crimes hostile to childrens hasn't higher on the grounds that WWII, in spite of an exponential advance in inhabitants. quite some the flaws we did not imagine were crimes, are suggested and prosecuted now. even as i develop right into a baby, if a baby did not come abode, the law enforcement officials stated he/she develop right into a runaway, and that develop into the perfect you heard of the youngster. No nationwide alerts. Or images on milk cartons, or perhaps any attempt by employing the authorities to discover them. The police like this, irrational worry, because it reduces their artwork load. No childrens on the line, no prefer to concentrate of them!! The media makes obscene salary. faculties develop into extra regimented. mothers and fathers sense they are preserving their little dears. in basic terms the children conflict through. they is completely not allowed to have the adventures we had, or make the blunders we made. Or improve truthfully personalities!!

Well, no matter whether someone is cool or not cool to be a geek/nerd/weirdo, just don't ridicule them too much. It's usually the geeks and nerds who become ultra-rich (i.e. Steve Forbes, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, et. al.). Just think, the same geeky kid you bully in high school becomes your boss later on in life.
