I think throughout the 20th century woman had affairs with the milkman not the mailman. The mailmen tried to get in on this phenomenon but the mailmen brought bills and the milkman brought ice cold milk. I believe there are millions of children that never looked like anyone else in their family and were the proverbial "milkman's kid"...this was not however the life of the poor mailman. So if you're considering a career change, I would suggest reviving the existence of the milkman, he had more fun than anyone in town.

Depends on where you live, I used to live in Puerto Rico so the mail carrier had to take mail house to house, I've rarely seen it anywhere else (New York, Orange County Fl.) but I did hear of it a couple of times. I had a friend in college who did it out of the thrill, she wasn't married but enjoyed the fact that he was a stranger and it was naughty cause he was on the job at the moment. I did hear something about my neighbors teenage daughter as well but I never actually saw her let him in or anything so I'm not sure. But it does happen if your good looking and know how to break the ice.

Let's put it this way. It has been implied by someone that it was a fabrication on my part, but it is in fact truth. In general conversation, I was asked if I'd like to help one change their mind about marriage any time in the near future. Now this was from one who is noted for their flock of women in the neighborhood. I declined, but that was a pass and I don't care if anyone believes it or not, including the friend who repeated it to the one who implied that it was BS.........

These days, the postal service is under too much pressure to meet time deadlines and production goals.

Read Bukowsky's book on his working in the post office.

If you want to have affairs, these days, it's best to have lots of money, and lots of time. But be careful.

That is not even a worthy stereotype. Obviously there has to be some women who have, but that is the same with garbageman and janitors. No, it is not true at all.
