Wrote Consolation of Philosophy when he was locked in a dreadful dungeon, awaiting execution for a crime he didn't commit. His philosophy basically has to do with doing the right thing but not expecting things to go well all the time.

Jesus Christ because his ideas if true were a radical departure about how to live life a different way so more people could be happy with less if you take out the religious stuff that has corrrupted it.
