Apply pressure on our elected leaders, on the executive branch, to open negotiations between all the warring parties.
Open up lines of communication between different groups, e.g. Jews, Christians, Moslems.
Learn about each other. Start reasoning, instead of forcing each other.
Forgive. Love your enemy.
Think. Rethink. Think more clearly. Think again. Act with measured pace and reason.

The thing that drives the world is money.
The way to stop a corporate America from destroying the world?
Stop giving the Companies that have any involvement in the war your cash, petition outside corporate HQ's, drop leaflets with pictures of the slaughtered civilians of Falujah, basically every Socially aware man and woman should smash the facts into the faces and homes of every middle class family across the country until they realise how much blood is staining their own chubby fingers.
Trouble is everyone's to busy watching Buffy re-runs and American Idol.

The same way we stopped the war with North Korea in 1953. Stabilize the region as best as we can, and turn it over to the Iraqi people with the support of a non US peacekeeping contingent from the UN. That is only going to happen when Bush is out of office.

Come up with a damn good political compromise and get a good Islamic Leader to quell the oncoming civil war and it may stop.
You can't. I'm assuming you mean Iraq...it will just have to take its corse now.
Funny though, before Iraq and Iran were enemies, now Iraq will be a Shiia nation like Iran (shiia are apparently the dogs of Islam)...So now Iran and Iraq will be allies. YAY America!!!!!

Check out this site: http://www.wanttoknow.info/9-11timeline60pg
Its a time line of events surrounding 9/11 from the 70's to the present and each entry has references from the main stream media to back it up. No theories, just facts. Excellent reading.

Well we can kindly ask all the radical islamist to go home and quit killing innocent Iraqis. Then that will leave less than 10% that will still be fighting for the old dictator ship of Iraq, and those can be contained easily.

Technically or ethically? Technically killing everyone will stop a war. Ethically, you have to destroy a standoff through negotiations and trade or through superior power. If you can decisively overpower, then you win. If you can trade or agree, then you win. If you win through overpowering, then you have to maintain the win.

Win it or surrender and convert to Wahhabi Islam. I prefer option one since i don't want to go to Mecca EVER (unless I'm 40,000 feet above it and get to drop a nuke) and don't need to pray on my knees or facing some crap-hole town in the Arabian peninsula five times a day.
