You know, the girls from the 50's who are on all those old Coca-Cola ads, and they have big skirts like poodle skirts, except without poodles embroidered on them. And they wore the white keds with the socks rolled down. They wore their hair up in a ponytail with a big bow in it. My friends and I thought it would be cute to dress up like that for Halloween, but I was looking up costumes, and I can't figure out what to type in to get the right results. If you know a site with a picture of the costume I'm asking about, that'd be really helpful, too. Thanks!

Sock-hop girls? Search for Poodle skirts too. There's a pattern from Simplicity, and it should be easy to sew if you can't find one you like to buy.

It's a poodle skirt.. You can't get them without the poodle unless you make them.

And bobby socks! :)

Here is a link with them on there:

I did a search in yahoo for poodle skirts and this site came up. Maybe you can find more info there.

Good luck!
