twelve is plenty big how thick is tile if tile is 1" 3/4" you need 1/2 bevel edge to stick tile are you useing mortor, grout , glue

I layed 12 x 12 and the recommended tooth gap was 1/2 inch.The tile glue pail will tell you recommended trowel gaps for various sizes of tiles.

we use a 1/4" on that size.....because the base is so large u tend to get hollow spots if u go smaller......remember to push down and twist about 5 deg then line it up where u want it on every tile.......

1/8 inch. it works best because it keeps the stuff evenly layered while you work the tile.
