Chris Cornell!! After Soundgarden he did a solo album that was amazing. Then he formed Audioslave so he is actually not considered a solo artist anymore.

beyonce... i really dont like that kind of music but i really respect her... plus she's one of the only people who went solo, and went back to the band.
