Nope. Liberatarians believe government's role is to soley protect our civil liberties (police, military, and judicial). Government should not be involved in social, religious, or anything that infringes in our civil liberties (censorship, abortion, drugs, prostitution, gambling, seatbelts, FDA, etc.) and strongly believes in privatization (no welfare like food stamps, public school [schools should be a private & paid by users], etc.)

I would say Republicans are confused Conservatives and Democrats are confused Liberals, both support parties that are geared for inaction. Both support parties that bow to special interest groups for self gain ignoring the will of the people, Both parties hold the values of the party above the good of Americans. Both say one thing and do the other.
Us Libertarians support a party that has bowed to such acts and in actions. We support a smaller central government, equal taxation, a woman's right to choose, a strict justice system not based on criminal justice but victim justice where individuals are held accountable for their actions. We believe in empowering every individual for success...true equal access to education and job training. We believe the government mishandling of funds and costly inefficient bureaucracies need to be scaled down. We believe everyone's opinion is equal and special interest groups "special" access to government is unfair.
Just as every party has to be extreme in its views to get part of their platform enacted the Libertarian employs several chips to debate away.

No, there is a genuine philosophical difference. Although a libertarian government would eventually collapse toward authoritarianism, which libertarians would not acknowledge, the authoritarianism that is the benchmark of the Dumbya coup is not in the libertarian agenda.

Libertarians do not believe that the government should regulate abortions that means that they are pro choice. They also do not support legislation banning gay marriage. Yeah I would say that they are identical to Republicans. That my friend was sarcasm, and you are an idiot.

No I''m not confused. But I tend to vote republican because the democratic candidates around here are frightening. Lautenberg and Corzine are the worst type of Democrats, super rich, and they want to keep their money while using mine to finance their entitlement programs. No thanks, I'll vote GOP until something better comes along.

No. Many, however, are ex-Republicans who realized that the current Republican party was not meeting their goals.
