I was walking to a Starbucks and this guy from England was trying to talk to me. He was so charming and handsome he had blonde hair green eyes, and a gregorious smile. He had a very "proper" accent and I felt like I was talking to James Bond. I told him that I have a boyfriend but he gave me his number anyway.

The problem with accents is - you can't turn them off when you want to.

I'm a naturalised Amercan. I came over to the USA in 1993 (30yo) and have lived in Arizona ever since. I haven't lost my middle class English accent. So when I go to the supermarket & I get the standard "oh you have a nice accent. Where are you from" - it's really annoying that I've lived in the same house for over 10 years & I have been a US citizen since 02/13/04 & I still have people making me feel like a visitor or tourist or something - I often find I have lived in Arizona longer than they have.

This is doubly true if I'm hung-over. I'd rather have a local accent, given the choice.

Yes, I would say that many women do love foreign accents! But I would totally be agianst indian accents, some men with that have that just sound so.... pompous (maybe cuz they're always tryin to talk all 'cool and smooth'), otherwise I think I admire evry other accent.
I would also guess that some men like women with foreign accents as well.

Is not really important the accent but I like most of them cause... I love Foreigners! but one accent I really don't like how it sounds sometimes is the Indian and Spanish one and I'm Latina so is nothing personal is just that for me they sound oddly funny and I laugh about it but in a good way not to make them fell bad at all,I'm not that kind of person... ^_^

How approximately an Asian accessory? Is that no longer suitable? i'm from Australia, so American accents are distant places to me, and that i'm sorry to assert that any sturdy eu accessory makes me choose to scream. in spite of the indisputable fact that i will stand Spanish accents, and Scottish and Irish accents do intrigue me.

I quite like the american accent and the south african one is cool too. I'm not a fan of indian accents but jamaican is cool. Basically, some not others!
