I disagree, the biggest threat facing the US is our own failiing economy and lack of self-reliability.

Terrorism is a threat and will always be a threat, but as far as the biggest threat to our country I hardly agree. Consider how few incidents we've ever had on US soil. Even the biggest incidents only effect a relatively small percent of the population. Think about how many people are living in poverty or die from crime and gun shootings every year. There are many other things that should be prioritized over terrorism

According to the Pentagon, in a report released a few years ago (and, yes, it was post 9/11), the biggest threat facing the US today is Global Warming. Now that has to make you wonder what BushCo is doing.

"The Pentagon's recent warning of the potential for catastrophic climate change is notable for contradicting the Bush Administration's campaign to obscure the scientific consensus on global warming. While the Clinton Administration also did little to tackle the threat, Bush is aggressively disabling public health laws that limit emissions from carbon-based fuels. The Fortune writer, however omits mention of Bush, his administration's gutting of environmental laws, or the Kyoto Accord."

Terrorism is a threat. But the biggest threat is what this country may become if we allow the fear of terrorism to fundamentally change our country. If we end up shredding the constitution and becoming essentially a police state-- the terrorist have won.

No attacks in the last 5 years leads me to believe it is not as big a threat as we are being led to believe. We still have to go after them however. If somebody really wanted to hit targets, they could easily do so. Our borders are sieves, building bombs is easy, there are tons of soft targets. Yet none have been hit.

That is far from our biggest threat ok?
1.Economy
2.Education System.
Fix those then worry about terrorists.
Give up your credit cards people. They are evil tools of the government to keep you forever in debt!!!
Unless you are one of the few people who actually pay off the entire balance every month and carry no credit card debt.

Terrorism is not a threat. 9/11 happened five years ago. Terror afflicted countries are like Sri Lanka or Israel & for that matter like Bombay city, India.
fear of terror is there in Bombay not here. Here what we have to fear about is Bush who might invite terror attacks on us.
