Some of Polynesia, Haiti, Belgium, some parts of USA
( New Orleans eg), much of North Africa, like Morocco and Tunisia, speak it alongside Arabic.
You could look in an Atlas - that will give the native languages.

There are some Caribbean countires as well I think. My neighbour comes from an island called La Reunion, which is a French speaking island near Mauritius (and I bet no-one else in your daughter's class will have that one!) I think either Guinea or New Guinea or Papaya New Guinea (if they are different?) speaks french too.

you pretty much got it, the french only really had colonies in Africa so no other areas speak it. Some of the countries which speak it are:
Algeria, Benin, Burkina faso, Chad, Congo, Ivory coast. and a whole lot more, can't be bothered to do all your work for you
